Item Analysis of selection diversity on the matched filter bound of bpsk on multipath rayleigh fading channels(Uludağ Üniversitesi, 2004) Ertaş, Tuncay; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Mühendislik-Mimarlık Fakültesi/Elektronik Mühendisliği Bölümü.The impact of diversity combining on the matched filter bound of BPSK on time-discrete multipath slowly Rayleigh fading intersymbol interference channels is analysed. Expressions for the bound are derived for SNR selection, S+N selection, and also equal gain diversity combining. Numerical results for the derived bounds are presented on a GSM typical urban channel model.Item The crb of snr estimates for bpsk signals in rayleigh fading channels with correlated dual mrc diversity(Uludağ Üniversitesi, 2004) Ertaş, Tuncay; Dilaveroğlu, Erdoğan; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Mühendislik-Mimarlık Fakültesi/Elektronik Mühendisliği Bölümü.The Cramér-Rao bound is derived for SNR estimation of BPSK modulated signals in Rayleigh fading channels with correlated dual MRC diversity.Item Fast computation of a complex quadratic form(Uludağ Üniversitesi, 2004) Dilaveroğlu, Erdoğan; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Mühendislik-Mimarlık Fakültesi/Elektronik Mühendisliği Bölümü.A fast algorithm has been proposed for computing the complex quadratic form x y H −1 Λ , where x , y are arbitrary N ×1 complex vectors and −1 Λ is the inverse of an N × N covariance matrix of a complex, circular, Gaussian autoregressive process.Item A method of precise calibration for piezoelectrical actuators(Uludağ Üniversitesi, 2004) Canel, Timur; Bektöre, Yüksel; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi/Fizik Bölümü.Piezoelectrical actuators are very useful for making translations over distance less than 10 µm. One of the most important applications of such piezo actuators is the scanning tunnelling microscopy and the related scanning probe microscopies because atomic scale distances have to be measured and controlled in scanning probe microscopies applications. Especially, tube shaped piezoelectrical actuators have been widely used for such purposes. In this study, a piezotube scanner is calibrated at three stages. First calibration was done by using interferometer. At the other two stages Scanning Tunnelling Microscope was used for measurement.
