Item Akdeniz bitki coğrafyası bölgesinde yayılıș gösteren bazı çalı türlerinde Nitrat Redüktaz Aktivitesi (NRA).(Çevre Koruma ve Araştırma Vakfı, 2009) Arslan, Hülya; Kırmızı, Serap; Sakar, Fatma Selcen; Güleryüz, Gürcan; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi/Biyoloji Bölümü/Botanik Anabilim Dalı.; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Gemlik Asim Kocabıyık Meslek Yüksek Okulu/Bitkisel Üretim Programı.; 0000-0002-2680-9815; 0000-0001-5441-037X; A-5538-2019; D-2584-2016; 7006712783; 6506756812; 34877681100; 6603334913Bu çalışmada, Akdeniz bitki örtüsünün egemen olduğu alanlardan toplanan 14 adet çalı türünün [Arbutus unedo L. (Ericaceae), Paliurus spina-christi Miller (Rhamnaceae), Pistacia terebinthus L. (Anacardiaceae), Quercus cerris L., Q. coccifera L., Q. robur L., Q. trojana T.B. Vebb. Çalı türlerinin yapraklarındaki nitrat redüktaz aktivitesi ile topraklarındaki aktüel NO3 içeriği arasında anlamlı bir korelasyon tespit edilmemesine karşın (P>0.05) genç sürgün ve çiçek-meyve kısımlarının NRA'sı ile topraktaki nitrat içeriği arasında anlamlı pozitif ilişki tespit edilmiştirItem Effects of moist chilling, gibberellic acid, and scarification on seed dormancy in the rare endemic Pedicularis olympica (Scrophulariaceae)(TÜBİTAK, 2010) Kırmızı, Serap; Güleryüz, Gürcan; Arslan, Hülya; Sakar, Fatma Selcen; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Gemlik Asım Kocabıyık Meslek Yüksekokulu.; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi/Biyoloji Bölümü.; 0000-0001-5441-037X; 0000-0002-2680-9815; D-2584-2016; A-5538-2019; 6506756812; 6603334913; 7006712783; 34877681100We investigated the germination requirements of a rare endemic plant species, Pedicularis olympica Boiss. (Scrophulariaceae), which grows in wet habitats on Uludag Mountain, Turkey. We studied the effects of scarification, moist chilling (+4 degrees C) for 15 days, different doses of gibberellic acid (GA(3); 100, 150, and 250 ppm) and combined hormone and moist chilling treatments under dark (20 degrees C) and photoperiod (20/10 degrees C; 12/12 h, respectively) conditions. GA(3) was able to break dormancy. The highest germination rate was found in the seeds treated with 250 ppm GA(3); 64% of these seeds germinated when treated with moist chilling and incubated in the dark, while 75% germinated under photoperiod conditions. Moreover, mean germination times were significantly lower in the seeds treated with 250 ppm GA(3). Significant differences in final germination percentages and mean germination times were found only for treatments under photoperiod conditions. Scarification also permitted germination; the highest germination rate (78%) was found with 15 min of scarification. Dormancy was not broken by moist chilling for up to 90 days. The germination requirements of dormant P. olympica seeds are found to be consistent with characteristics of its habitat. This can be considered an ecological advantage for the species establishment and persistence.Item Nitrogen mineralization in the soils of the conifer forest communities in the Eastern Mediterranean(Çevre Koruma ve Araştırma Vakfı, 2010) Everest, Ayşe; Güleryüz, Gürcan; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi/Biyoloji Bölümü.; 0000-0001-5441-037X; D-2584-2016; 6603334913The nitrogen mineralization rates in the soils of three coniferons forest communities (Pinus nigra subsp pallasiana, Abies cilicica subsp cilicica, Cedrus libani) in the middle Taurus Mountains (Turkey) were investigated. N mineralization was determined by the standard incubation method under laboratory conditions at 20 degrees C and 60 %WHC. Mineral nitrogen (NH(4)(+)-N ve NO(3)(-)-N) was analyzed in the beginning, 21(st) and 63(rd) days of incubation by micro-distillation. Net mineral nitrogen accumulations were calculated for the 63-days (mg N(min)/ 100 g dry-soil/63-days). Needle-leaf forest communities Were cross-examined based on their mineral nitrogen and soil parameters. The relationships between the mineral nitrogen production and soil factors were analyzed by a simple correlation test. Mineral nitrogen production in the soils of these communities is strongly related to the total nitrogen rate. The highest total nitrogen mineralization rates were determined in the soils of the Abies cilicica community The nitrogen mineralization in the soils of three closely related needle-leaf forest communities in the Eastern Mediterranean phyto-geography region were found to be different.
