Item 2D holodirected lead(II) bromide coordination polymers constructed of rigid and flexible ligands(Elsevier Science, 2009-04-01) Aslani, Alireza; Morsali, Ali; Büyükgüngör, Orhan; Yılmaz, Veysel Turan; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi/Kimya Anabilim Dalı.; 0000-0002-2849-3332; L-7238-2018; 7006269202Three new 2D Pb-II coordination polymers containing 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bipy), 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane (bpa) and 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl) ethene (bpe) with bromide anions, [Pb(mu-4,4'-bipy)(mu-Br)(2)](n) (1), [Pb(mu-bpa)(mu-Br)(2)](n) (2) and [Pb(mu-bpe)(mu-Br)(2)](n) ( 3) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and their structures studied by X-ray crystallography. The thermal stability of compounds 1-3 was studied by thermal gravimetric (TG) and differential thermal analyses ( DTA). The single-crystal X-ray data shows that the Pb2+-ions have coordination numbers of six and contain the rarely holodirected geometries.Item Hydrothermal and sonochemical synthesis of a nano-sized 2D lead(II) coordination polymer: A precursor for nano-structured PbO and PbBr2(Elsevier, 2009-07-16) Aslani, Alireza; Morsali, Ali; Kazak, Canan; Yılmaz, Veysel Turan; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi/Kimya Bölümü.; 0000-0002-2849-3332; L-7238-2018; 7006269202A new nano-structured lead(II) coordination polymer, [Pb(mu-bpp)(mu-Br)(2)](n) (PBB) [bpp = 1,3-di(4-pyridyl)propane], has been synthesized by the reaction of a mixture lead(II) acetate and KBr with bpp by both hydrothermal and sonochemical methods. Reaction conditions, such as temperature, time, concentration and initial reagents play important roles in the size, morphology and crystal growth of the final products. The nano-sized PbBr2 and PbO were prepared from the calcination of the nano-structured PBB at vacuum and air atmosphere. The structure of PBB was determined by X-ray crystallography, while nano-structural materials were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRPD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Thermal stability of bulk and nano-sized particles of PBB was studied and compared with each other.
