Item Broyler rasyonlarına katılan değişik hayvansal kökenli yem maddelerinin oluşturduğu barsak florasıyla canlı ağırlık artışı arasındaki ilişki(Uludağ Üniversitesi, 1984) Çetin, Zafer; Minbay, Ahmet; Erdinç, Hüseyin; Minbay, Ahmet; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Veteriner Fakültesi.Broilers reared in conventional environment were fed on regular broiler rations with different supplementation. 300 broilers were divided into three groups equally according to their weights. Chicks in group I were given diet composed of plant feeds only. Group II were fed with diet supplemented with 10 percent fish meal. Chicks in group III were given so me ration given to group II, except 10 percent meat and bone meal replaced with fish meal. All chicks were 1. st day to 8 weeks old. Average weith gains were 1830 grams, 1821 grams and 1854 grams respectively in there groups at the and of the weeks experiment. Each chick in these groups consumed 4.319, 4.177 and 4.184 grams of their rations. The value for each chich to gain 1 kg. were calculated as 2.36; 2.29 and 2.22 respectively. As the values indicate first group ate most and gained least whereas third group ate least and gained most. But there was no istatistical differences among the groups. Establishment of microflora in smal intestinas and caecum was in vestigated. Coliform organisms overnumbered lactaba cilli during the firt weeks. Then lactobacilli over numbered coliforms especially at the end of the experiment. Ratio of lactobacilli to coliform in ceacum was estimated approximetely 3.1 group given meat and bone meal had best feed conversion ratio and higest lactobacilli count. It was concluded that the source of feed has no great effect on weight gain as long as the ratio is balancea to meat the requirements, but may serve an important role in the establishment of microflora that has effect on feed conversion.
