Item The cultural values which evolved from Hasan Dede and his social environment in Şehitler Village(Uludağ Üniversitesi, 2009-12-01) Taş, Hülya; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi/Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı Bölümü.Village Sehitler is 10-11 km away from Inegöl and 30 km away from Bursa. It is believed that the village was established by Hasan Dede, who was a descendant of Ahmet Yesevi. All the members of the village are Alawii. The rules put forth by Hasan Dede and other Alawii elders are still dominant in daily life. These rules also from the basis of Alawii philosophy. Since the village was invaded, burnt and pillaged by Greek soldiers during the Turkish war of Independence, there remained no written resource about Hasan Dede. This study is based on mutual talks with the villagers and focused on legends, beliefs and traditions set forth by Hasan Dede and his followers.Item “Hibe” as an instrument of transgeneration commodity transfer in the Ottoman society(Uludağ Üniversitesi, 2009-12-01) Abacı, Zeynep Dörtok; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi/Tarih Bölümü.‘Donation as a means for intergenerational capital transfer’ has not become a separate research subject in the Ottoman studies so far today. The aim of the present article is to put forward the subject as a research problem. Data were collected from randomly selected court records of such cities as Bursa, Kayseri, Kastamonu and Mardin. More comprehensive study of the present research subject will also contribute to our understanding of the matter of age groups about which we almost have no idea in addition to many other titles.Item The ideal Turkish youth and teacher in Mehmet Aki̇f Ersoy’s poems(Uludağ Üniversitesi, 2009-12-01) Erdal, Kelime; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Eğitim Fakültesi/Türkçe Eğitimi Bölümü.Mehmet Akif Ersoy is a poet and an intellectual who dedicated his literary works to public and tried to educate them by all means. Aiming at realism in art and usefulness to society, the poet touched upon a different subject matter in his every work of art. Within the variety of subject matters, the only invariable thing in his works is the messages he gives to his readers. It is inevitable for a poet, so sensitive on social matters, to emphasize youth, who is considered as the leading part of the society, and teachers who educate them. Mehmet Akif, as he described the state of the youth on one hand and indicated the qualities of a youth he longed for on the other in his poems, conducted the contemporary youth. The poet, not only indicates the qualities of an ideal teacher, but also disposes the unfavorable qualities of a teacher in his poems. Having been a teacher himself, the views of Mehmet Akif on youth and teachers, are of high-quality to shed light on present and future.Item Lover and the World Sultan (Muhibbi)(Uludağ Üniversitesi, 2009-12-01) Durmaz, Gülay; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi/Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı Bölümü.Kanuni (the Lawgiver), who is also known as the Magnificent Suleyman, was both a great sultan and conqueror along with his advanced culture and art. He was one of the ruler poets of the XVI century. Suleyman was not only known as a great sultan but also as a distinguished poet. In his poets under the name Muhibbi (lover) he gave up his position as a sultan, becoming a slave for his lover. Therefore, his loved one became the sultan of the all the rulers.
