    Optimization of the arrays of impinging air jets

    Use of impinging air jets to enhance heat and mass transfer rates is relatively new development in heatin& cooling and dlying operations in industry. In this paper, an original optimization of nozzle arrays under impinging air jets was given for both academic and industrial users.

    A study on radial deformation in journal bearing

    In this study, aiming to achieve a more accurate analyse of perfomance­ radial journal bearings, the effects of shaft and liner deformations have been conside­red together. If length/diameter ratio is quite small the results given confirm well with those obtained in practice. When this ratio is high, however, deteriorations in the shaft deflection or linersgeometry with be more effective than expected radial deformations. ·
