    Katı modelleme ile imalat hatalarının tespiti

    In this paper some newly devised automatic methods are deseribed that compare a set of measurements of an engineering component taken by a coordi­nate measuring machine with a master solid model of the measured component obtained from a CAD system. Once matched, the two may then be compared to find any differences resulting from manufacturing errors and those manufacturing errors can automaticalJy be reported. The algorithms used in the project have been developed especially to handle the large numbers of surface points that m ay be gathered from a component using a laser non-contact measuring machine developed at Bath University. The set­ theoretic solid modeller DORA used in the project is also developed at Bath University by John Woodwark.
