Blood, samples of anesthetized dancing bears (16 animals) brought into the wildlife research centre of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for rehabilitation were analysed for red and white blood cell counts, hemoglobin (Hb), hematocrit and erythrocyte sedimentation rates.(ESR) Respective values for RBC, WBC, Hb, PCV, and ESR were 7. 266 x 10 6/mm3 , 9.137 x 10 3/mm3, 16.0 g/100 ml, 44.0 %, and 19 mm/1 hr at 45°. Except ESR, other figures seemed to be in the limits of reference values.
