Ethinyl estradiol ve desogestrel'in sıçan tiroid bezleri üzerine histopatolojik etkileri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada ethinyl estradiol (EE) ve desogestrel içeren kombine bir oral kontraseptif (COC) 'in sıçan tiroid bezi üzerindeki etkileri ışık mikroskobik düzeyde incelendi. Farklı doz ve sürelerle EE + desogestrel verilen sıçanların tiroid bezleri, folikül çap ölçümü ve histopatolojik bulgular açısından değerlendirildi. Sonuçta yüksek doz deney grubunda folikül çaplarının, kontrol grubuna oranla belirgin bir artış gösterdiği saptandı. Ayrıca deney gruplarında kolloid maddenin boyanma karakterlerinden de farklılık gözlendi.Effects of a combined oral contraceptive (COC) containing ethinyl estradiol (EE) + desogestrel on the thyroid gland of the rat was examined under the light microscope. EE + desogestrel was given in different doses and times. Findings regarding the diameters of follicles and histopathological features were compared to the control groups. A remarkable increase was found at the diameters of follicle in the high dose treatment groups in comparison to the control groups. Furthermore, differences in staining characteristics were observed in the colloid substance in the treatment groups.
