dc.description.abstract	Bu çalışmada Geliştirilmiş Lif Ölçüm Sistemi (AFIS)’in penye pamuk iplikçiliğinde kullanımına ait bir örnek sunulmuştur. AFIS-N, AFISL&D ve AFIS-T ölçüm sonuçları kullanılarak penye pamuk iplikçiliğindeki işlem kademelerinde lif özelliklerindeki değişimler incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak AFIS’in lif uzunlukları ile lif içerisindeki neps, yabancı madde ve toz sayıları ve büyüklüklerinin çeşitli işlemler sırasındaki değişimleri ile lif ve işlem parametrelerinin optimizasyonu için kullanımı yararlı bir sistem olduğu gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır.
dc.description.abstract	In this study an experimental study has been done on combed cotton yarn spinning using Advanced Fibre Information System, AFIS. Changes of the fiber properties during combed cotton spinning processes were investigated using measured values from AFIS-N, AFIS L&D and AFIS-T. As a conclusion it was shown that AFIS is a new and usefull system for detecting changes of fibre properties, such as fibre length, neps, trash numbers and particul dimensions during processing stages. Also it can be used for optimising of the fibre and process parameters. Key Words: AFIS, Cotton fibre properties, Combed cotton spinning.
