Publication: Eğitimin sessiz paydaşları olarak okul yardımcı personeli: Kimler ve yaptıkları iş nasıl algılanıyor?
Abstract
Bu araştırma, eğitimin sessiz paydaşları olarak görülen okul yardımcı personelinin okuldaki anlam ve önemi, yaşadıkları güçlükler, beklentileri gibi konuların paydaşlar (öğretmen/yöneticiler ve öğrenciler) tarafından nasıl algılandığının incelenmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma, nitel araştırma desenlerinden olan durum çalışmasına göre yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada, ölçüt örnekleme yöntemine göre ilkokullarda görev yapan 37 yardımcı personel, kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi yöntemi ile ise 16 öğretmen/yönetici ve 15 öğrenci katılımcı olarak yer almıştır. Katılımcılara araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan anket formu verilmiştir. Gönüllülük esasına dayalı olarak yürütülen araştırmada elde edilen veriler içerik analizi ve betimsel analiz yöntemi ile çözümlenmiştir. Ortaya çıkan sonuçlar tablolar halinde sunulmuştur. Sonuçlar incelendiğinde, yardımcı personelin anlam ve önemine ilişkin olumlu ifadelerin yer aldığı, görevlerini yerine getirirken birçok güçlükler yaşadıkları, yardımcı personelin özlük haklarının iyileştirilmesi, takdir edilmesi, temizliğe okul paydaşlarınca önem verilmesi gibi konularda beklentilerinin olduğu, olumsuz anılarının olumlu anılara göre daha fazla olduğu sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmanın son kısmında araştırma sonuçlarına dayalı olarak araştırmacılara ve uygulayıcılara dönük öneriler sunulmuştur.
This research was carried out to examine how the auxiliary school personnel, who are seen as silent stakeholders of education, perceive the issues such as the meaning and importance of them, the difficulties they experience and their expectations of the stakeholders (teacher/administrators and students). The research was carried out according to the case study pattern, which is one of the qualitative research models. In the research, 37 auxiliary school personnel working in primary schools were included as participants according to the criterion sampling method, and 16 teachers/administrators and 15 students were included as participants using the easily accessible situation sampling method. A structured interview form was prepared by the researchers and given to the participants. The data obtained from the current research was received on a voluntary basis. It was analyzed using content analysis and descriptive analysis methods. The results are presented in tables. When the results are examined, it has been concluded that there are positive statements about the meaning and importance of being an auxiliary personnel, that they have many difficulties while fulfilling their duties, that the auxiliary personnel have expectations about the improvement and appreciation of their rights, that the cleanliness is considered to be an important duty of this personnel by the stakeholders, and that the auxiliary personnel have negative memories more than positive ones. In the last part of the research, suggestions were made for researchers and practitioners based on the research results.
