Türkiye Maarif Vakfının maarif Türkçe ortaokul A1 kitaplarının değerler eğitimi açısından incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, Türkiye Maarif Vakfı okullarında örgün eğitimde yer alan Türkçe derslerinde kullanılan Maarif Türkçe Ortaokul A1 ders kitaplarını Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı 2019 Türkçe Dersi Öğretim Programı’nda değerler eğitimi kapsamında ifade edilen on kök değer açısından incelemektir. 2016’da 6721 sayılı TBMM kararıyla kurulan Türkiye Maarif Vakfı, ülkemizi yurt dışında eğitim alanında temsil eden, dünyada Asya ve Afrika başta olmak üzere birçok kıtada yer alan toplamda 52 ülkedeki örgün eğitime sahip okullarında anaokulundan lise kademesine kadar Türkçe eğitimi vermektedir. Bu okullarda Türkiye Maarif Vakfı Türkçe ve Yabancı Dil Öğretimi Daire Başkanlığı bünyesinde yazılan Maarif Türkçe kitap setleri kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın kapsamı Maarif Türkçe kitap setlerinden Maarif Türkçe Ortaokul A1 ders kitaplarıyla (A1 Birinci Kitap ve A1 İkinci Kitap) sınırlandırılmıştır. Bahsi geçen on kök değer; adalet, dostluk, dürüstlük, öz denetim, sabır, saygı, sevgi, sorumluluk, vatanseverlik ve yardımseverliktir. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde problem durumu, araştırma soruları, amacı, önemi ve tanımından bahsedilmiş; ikinci bölümde kavramsal çerçeve ele alınarak 10 kök değer hakkında genel bilgiler verilmiş, üçüncü bölümde yöntem hakkında ayrıntılara yer verilmiş, dördüncü bölümde bulgular dizilerek yorumlanmış ve beşinci bölümde sonuç, tartışma ve önerilere kaleme alınmıştır. Maarif Türkçe Ortaokul A1 ders kitapları nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi yöntemi ile incelenmiştir. İncelemeye konu kitaplardaki metinler on kök değer açısından çözümlenmiş, metinlerde değerlerin açık veya örtük olarak çeşitli oranlarda yer aldığı tespit edilmiştir. Tezin araştırma sonuçlarına yer verilen son bölümünde Maarif Türkçe Ortaokul A1 (Birinci Kitap ve İkinci Kitap) ders kitaplarında yer alan değerler eğitimi ögelerinin hedef kitle ve bağlam göz önüne bulundurulduğunda genel olarak yeterli olduğu ifade edilmiştir.

The main aim of this study is to examine the Maarif Türkçe Secondary School A1 course books used in Turkish language classes in Turkish Maarif Foundation schools, in terms of the ten core values expressed within the Türkiye’s National Education Ministry’s 2019 Turkish Language Teaching Programme. Established by the 6721 numbered Grand National Assembly of Türkiye decision in 2016, the Turkish Maarif Foundation represents Türkiye in the field of education abroad, providing Turkish language education from kindergarten to high school levels in a total of 52 countries, primarily in Asia and Africa. Turkish language education in these schools is conducted using the Maarif Türkçe book sets written under the Turkish Maarif Foundation Turkish and Foreign Language Teaching Department. The scope of this study is limited specifically to the Maarif Türkçe Secondary School A1 course books (A1 First Book and A1 Second Book). The ten core values mentioned are “justice, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, respect, love, responsibility, patriotism, and helpfulness”. The first section of the study discusses the problem statement, the second section presents the conceptual framework providing general information about the ten core values, the third section describes the method details, the fourth section presents the findings and their interpretetions, and thefifth section includes conclusions, discussions, and recommendations. Maarif Türkçe Secondary School A1 course books were analyzed using the qualitative research method of document analysis. The texts in the examined books were analyzed within the framework of the ten core values, and it was observed that abovesaid values are present explicitly or implicitly to varying degrees in the texts. The concluding section of the thesis states that the elements of the values education in the Maarif Türkçe Secondary School A1 (First Book and Second Book) course books are considered generally sufficient, considering the target audience and context.
