Böbrek adenokanserinde hormonal tedavinin yeri

Abstract

Bu çalışma böbrek adenokanserinde, cerrahi tedaviye ek olarak Medroxyprogesterone Acetat ile yapılan hormonal tedavinin yerini belirlemek amacı ile yapılmıştır. Radikal nefrektomi sonrası, hormonal tedaviye alınan 16 olgu çalışma grubunu oluştururken, yalnız cerrahi tedavi uygulanmış 18 olgu da kontrol grubu olarak alınmışlardır. Ortalama 34 ay gibi bir süre izlenen bu iki grup hastada, tümör yinelenme oranları sırasıyla % 63 ve % 62 olarak bulunmuştur. Bu sonuçlarla Medroxy progesteron asetatın cerrahiye ek olarak tedavide hiçbir yeri olmadığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Kaynak taraması sonuçları da bu yargımızı desteklemektedir.This study is done to show the significance of adjuvant Medroxyprogeıterone Asetat therapy in the adenocarcinoma of kidney. The hormonal therapy is given adjuvant to surgical therapy in 16 patients and this group is named as the study group. The control group is 18 in number and no adjunctive therapy was given to these patients. After a median follow-up of 34 months, the relaps rates were 63 % and 62 % respectively in the groups. This states that, there is no significant effect of Medroxyprogesterone Asetat in renal adenocarcinoma. This conclusion is identical with the results reported in the literature.
