John Locke'un doğuştancılık eleştirisi

Abstract

İlkçağdan günümüze epistemolojinin öncelikli problemlerinden biri olan 'doğuştan ideler' doktrini, John Locke'un felsefesini kurarken hesaplaştığı temel konulardan biridir. İnsan zihninin doğuştan getirdiği birtakım idelerin ya da özsözlerin veyahut da ahlakil ilkelerin bulunduğu tezi, Locke'a göre, ideolojik bir vehim ve belirli ideolojilerin sorgulanmaksızın kabulüne zemin hazırlamak bakımından tehlikelidir. Bu makale de, söz konusu doktrinin temellendirilemeyeceğini iddia eden Locke'un, kurgusal idelerin/özsözlerin ve ahlaki ilkelerin doğuştan getirilemeyeceğine yönelik doğuştancılık eleştirisi ele alınacaktır.

The concept of ' lnnate ideas' which is the main questions of epistemology throughout the history of philosophy is one of the basic points of which John Locke deals with while he is developing his own philosophy. The thesis that some ideas or moral principles are innale in human mind is dangerous according to Locke for it may cause to admit without any examination some ideological anxieties or certain ideologies. The point which is discussed in this study is therefore the critique of innatism in the sense that speculative ideas or moral principles are not innate developed by Locke who asserts also that 'the relevant concept cannot be grounded properly.
