Abstract
Bu çalışmada; Penguen Gıda Sanayi A.Ş. Arıtma Tesisi Atıkları’ndan arıtma çamurunun kimi özellikleri ve tarımsal kullanım olanağı araştırılmıştır. Bu amaçla fabrikanın kampanya dönemi boyunca (21.6.2001-26.12.2001) arıtma tesisinden belli zamanlarda alınan arıtma çamuru örneklerinde pH, EC, kuru madde, organik madde, C:N oranı, kimi bitki besin elementi ve ağır metal içeriği belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca çalışma kapsamında sera koşullarında yürütülen çalışmada arıtma çamuru (0-20- 40-80-120-160 ton ha-1) düzeylerinde toprağa uygulanmış, mısır bitkisinin gelişim ve mineral element içeriği üzerine etkisi ile 30 gün inkübasyon süresi sonunda ekim öncesi ve hasat sonrasında toprak özellikleri üzerinde meydana getirdiği değişimler belirlenmiştir. Üretim periyodu boyunca alınan çamur örneklerinde yapılan analizler sonucu arıtma çamurunun bitki besin elementi içeriğinin yüksek olduğu ve belirlenen ağır metal içeriklerinin resmi gazetede yayımlanan “Toprak Kirliliği Kontrolü Yönetmeliği”nde belirtilen sınır değerleri aşmadığı belirlenmiştir. Toprağa artan miktarlarda uygulanan arıtma çamuru; bitkinin mineral element içeriğini artırmış ve bitki gelişimini olumlu yönde etkilemiştir. Arıtma çamuru ekim öncesi ve hasat sonrasında toprağın pH’sını düşürmüş, toprak tuzluluğu üzerine olumsuz etki yaparak EC’yi artırmıştır. Arıtma çamuru uygulaması ile birlikte toprağın başta organik madde içeriği olmak üzere, NH4, NO3, alınabilir P, değişebilir K, Ca, Mg, Na ve alınabilir Fe, Cu, Mn, Zn ve B içerikleri artmıştır.
In this study, the facilities of agricultural usages of waste sludge that was provided from the Penguen Food Industry Foundation’s wastewater treatment plants was researched. For this reason, some of the analysis such as pH, EC, dry matter, organic matter, C:N ratio, nutrient and heavy metal contents were done in the samples of waste sludge during the (21.6.2001-26.12.2001) production period. In addition to the research, in the consideration of the greenhouse work, sludge was added to the pots 0- 20-40-80-120-160 tons ha-1 respectively before the planting. At the end of one month incubation period, the effects on changing the characteristics of soil before planting and after the harvesting of sludge and the growing and mineral matter content of corn plant was determined. According to the results of analysis done in the sludge samples that was taken during the production period, the content of plant nutrient matter of sludge was high and its heavy metal contents were found below the critical levels according to the soil pollution control instructions which were published in official news. The sludge that was applied to the soil with increasing amounts, raised the mineral matter content of plant and affected the growing of plant positively. Sludge was decreased the pH of soil before planting and after harvest, increased EC by making the negative effects on soil salinity. With the application of sludge, organic matter content, NH4, NO3, available P, changeable K, Ca, Mg, Na and available Fe, Cu, Mn, Zn and B contents were increased.
