Ortaçağ müslüman toplumlarında folklor ve mizah ögesi olarak yüzük kaşlarına yansıyan edebiyat

Abstract

Yüzük, eski çağlardan beri farklı birçok işleve sahip olagelmiştir. Kadın-erkek arasındaki sevgi ve evlilik bağını temsil etmesi, siyasi yazışmalarda damga işlevi görmesi, kudret ve egemenliği sembolize etmesi vs. bu işlevlerden bazılarıdır. Yüzük, bireylerin sosyo-ekonomik durumlarını, inanç, meşrep ve eğilimlerini, yine işgal ettikleri statü ve iştigal ettikleri mes- lekleri gösteren birer nişan olduğu gibi, bu küçük hacimli süs objesi tarih boyunca sanat, kültür, folklor, mizah ve din alanlarının kayıtsız kalmadığı cazip bir ilgi odağı olmuştur. Bunların yanı sıra, hususan yüzük kaşları üzerine yazı nakşetmenin Ortaçağ Müslüman top- lumlarında yaygın bir gelenek olduğu da görülmüştür. Öyle ki yüzük kaşları, sosyal hayata dair önemli ayrıntıların kendisi aracılığıyla okunabildiği toplumsal bir ayna işlevi görmüştür. Yüzük kaşlarında bulunan yazılar çoğu defa yüzük sahibine motivasyon kazandıran, sorum- luluk hatırlatan içeriğe sahiptir. Keza muhatabı iğneleme, sitem, şifa ümidi, aşk gibi birçok konu veya temanın yüzük kaşlarında sanatlı bir şekilde ele alındığı bilinmektedir. Ayrıca dönemin sosyo-politik koşulları ve kültürel durumu hakkında kültür tarihçilerinin bigâne kalamayacakları başkaca çok önemli malumat da verebilmektedir. O nedenle bu makale çalışmasında, klasik Arap edebiyatı kaynaklarında zengin bir içeriğe sahip olan yüzük kaşları üzerindeki edebi malzeme incelenecektir.

The ring has had many different functions since ancient times. It represents the love and marriage bond between men and women, functions as a stamp in political correspondence, symbolizes power and dominance, etc. are some of these functions. As the ring is a badge showing the socio-economic status of individuals, their beliefs, legitimacy and tendencies, the status they occupy and the professions they occupy, this small-volume ornamental object has been used throughout history for art, culture, folklore, humor and religion. it has become an attractive center of attention that its fields are not indifferent. In addition to these, it has been seen that embroidering inscriptions on particular ring stones was a common tradition in medieval Muslim societies. So much so that the ring stones functioned as a social mirror through which important details of social life can be read through it. The inscriptions on the ring stones often contain content that motivates the ring owner and reminds them of responsibility. Likewise, it is known that many subjects or themes such as needling, reproach, healing hope, love are handled in an artistic way on the ring stones. It can also provide other very important information about the socio-political conditions and cultural situation of the period that cultural historians cannot remain aware of. Therefore, this article study will examine the literary material on the ring stones, which has a rich content in classical Arabic literature sources.
