In this study the samples taken from clitorises and uteries of 18 infertile mares and prepuce shaft, urethra and fossa glandises of 4 stallions were examined bacteriologically and the sensitivity of isolated agents to antibiotics was determined. Isolation were made from clitorises of 15 (%83.3) and uteries of 10 (%55.5) of 18 mares. E. coli, Neisseriae spp., Shigella spp., K. pneumoniae, Diplococcus pneumoniae, Aeromonas sp., Streptococcus spp., S. epidermidis and Citrobacter spp. were isolated from clitorises; Pseudomonas spp., Aeromonas spp., E. coli, Streptococcus spp., Yersinia spp., S. aureus, Pasteurella sp., S. saprophiticus, Kl. pneumoniae were isolated from the uteries of the mares. S. epidermidis, E. coli and Citrobacter sp. were isolated from 4 stallions. Taylorella equigenitalis could not be isolated from the mares and stallions. It was determined that, the Gram (+) bacteria were sensitive to Enrofloxacine, Cephtizoxime, Gentamycine, Oxytetracycline, Ampicilline and Penicilline; Gram (-) bacteria were sensitive to Enrofloxacine, Ceftizoxime, Tetracycline, Danofloxacine, Neomycine and Amoxycilline.en_US
