Abstract
Bu araştırma, kurutulup öğütülerek elenmiş pirinanın kuzuların besi performansı üzerine olan etkilerini belirlemek amacıyla düzenlenmiştir. Araştırmada yaklaşık 2.5 aylık yaşta, 60 baş erkek Merinos kuzusu kullanılmıştır. Beş gruba ayrılan kuzuların yoğun yem karmalarına sırasıyla %0, 5, 10, 15 ve 20 düzeyinde pirina katılmıştır. Toplam 70 gün süren besi boyunca kuzular ad-libitum düzeyde ve bireysel olarak yemlenmişlerdir. Kuzuların canlı ağırlık ve yem tüketimleri iki haftada bir yapılan kontrol tartımları ile saptanmıştır. Besi sonunda kuzuların toplam ve günlük ortalama canlı ağırlık artışları bakımından kontrol grubu ile %5, 10 ve 15 pirina tüketen gruplar arasında önemli bir farklılık görülmemiştir (P>0.05). Ancak %20 pirina tüketen kuzuların toplam ve günlük ortalama canlı ağırlık artışları kontrol, %5 ve %10 pirina tüketen kuzulardan daha düşük bulunmuştur (P<0.05). %20 pirina tüketen grupta özellikle ham sellüloz ve kül düzeylerindeki artış bu sonuçlar üzerinde etkili olmuştur. Diğer yandan pirina kullanımı besi süresi sonunda kuzuların yem tüketimlerini etkilememiştir (P>0.05). Yemden yararlanma düzeyi bakımından ise kontrol, %5 ve %10 pirina tüketen gruplar ile %20 pirina tüketen grup arasındaki farklılıklar önemli bulunmuştur (P<0.05). Araştırma sonucunda, düşük KM içeriği ile yüksek maya ve küf sayısına sahip ham pirinanın kurutulup, öğütülüp, elendikten sonra kuzu besi rasyonlarında en fazla %15’e kadar rahatlıkla kullanılabileceği saptanmıştır.
This research was carried out to determine effects of dried, milled and screened olive-cake on fattening performance of lambs. About 2.5 months old 60 heads male Merino lambs were used in research. Lambs were allotted into 5 groups and 0, 5, 10, 15 and 20% olive-cake added to concentrate feeds of lambs, respectively. Lambs were fed as ad-libitum and individually during 70 days fattening period. Live weights and feed consumptions of lambs were determined for every two weeks. At the end of the fattening period from the point of total and daily live weight gains differences of lambs were not found to be significant between the groups of control and consumed 5, 10 and 15% olive-cake (P>0.05). However, total and daily live weight gains of the lambs of consumed 20% olive-cake were found less than control and the lambs of consumed 5 and 10% olive-cake (P<0.05). Increased crude fiber and ash contents in the group of consumed 20% olive-cake had an effect on these results. On the other hand, at the end of the fattening period use of olive-cake did not affect feed consumptions of lambs (P>0.05). From the point of feed conversion ratio differences were found to be significant between the groups of control, 5 and 10% with the group of consumed 20% olive-cake (P<0.05). As a result, raw olive-cake which contains low DM, high numbers of yeast and mould can be used successfully maximum to 15% in the lamb fattening diets after drying, milling and screening.
