Abstract
Ergenlik çocukluktan yetişkinliğe geçiş dönemidir. Ergenlik dönemi sonunda sadece fizik olgunlaşma değil sosyal, psikolojik, seksüel, entelektüel olgunlaşmaya ulaşılır. Bu devrede ergen hem kendine hem çevresine problem olabilir. Çocuktan beklenilenler bilinen ama yetişkin dünyasına yabancı olunan bu dönemde çatışmalar olağandır. Hangi davranışının onaylanacağı bilinemez. Ergen ikilemler içindedir. Bu döneme "fırtına-stress" dönemi de denilebilir. Çoğu kültürlerdeki seksüel dürtülere konan tabular biyolojik gelişmeyi utanç kaynağı yapabilmektedir. Ergenlik döneminde rastlanan antisosyal davranışların bir nedeni de bu dönemdeki çatışmalar dır. Böyle hassas bir dönemde ekonomik yetersizlikler, düzensiz aile yaşantısı gibi çevre faktörleri de ergenin psikolojik gereksinimlerini engellemektedir. Bu engellemenin sonucu ortaya çıkan agresyon antisosyal davranışlarda kendini gösterir.
Adolescence period is transition (transition to social, physical, sexual, intellectual, psychological maturation) from childhood to adult life. This period is not always smooth. The adolescent commonly becomes a problem to his parents or to the commuııity because he is a problem to himself. When he faces a new unfamiliar situation /ıe fitıds it ambiguously. He does not know wlıich actions will produce the desired effect. Because of the taboos on sexual matters in our culture, the new intense awareness of sex can become a source of embrassement. Adolescence period can be called "storm and stress" period. Because of cultural conflicts arising from sexual restrictions than biological development. Adolescence conflicts may result in antisocial behavior (juvenile-delinquency). bıdiuidual deliııquency, based on personal problems, is dislinquislıed from social delinquency, expressed in gang belıauior. Environmental factors such as poverty, unstable lıome life and community disorganization lead to frustration of basic psydıological needs and from such frustration stems aggression leading to episodes of delinquent behavior. Delinquency may also be viewed as an expression of defenses. In view of obtaining greater emotional comfort. The dif{erence between delinquent behaviors non delinquent behavior is its direction and mode of expression. In general delinquents differ from non delinquents in goal direction and its nature of aggression used to attain their goals.
