| dc.description.abstract | Yirmi yıla yakın Sultan II. Abdülhamid’in saray ressamlığı görevini yürüten İtalyan oryantalist ressam Fausto Zonaro’nun (1854-1929) başta Saz Çalan Kadın olmak üzere çeşitli tablolarına esin olan Margarethe Morgan hakkında bugüne kadar yazılanlar, sınırlı olduğu kadar birbirini yineleyen tarzdadır. II. Abdülhamid döneminin tanınan hafiyelerinden Fehim Paşa ile ilişkisi ile ön planda olan Margarethe, resim sanatının yanı sıra edebi eserlere ve müziğe de esin kaynağı olmuştur. Ayrıca dönemin yabancı basın haber ve yazılarında yer almış; ama şimdiye kadar Türkçe kaynaklarda bunlara değinilmemiştir. Burada bunlardan yararlanılarak bazı tarihlendirmeler ve bilgiler netleştirilmiş; bazı çelişkiler ortaya konmuştur. Bunun için birçok yazılı ve görsel materyal karşılaştırılmıştır. Sonuçta Fausto Zonaro’nun tablosunun tarihi değişmiş, ilk kez yayımlanan bir fotoğrafla tabloların koleksiyonerleri hakkında yorumlar oluşturulmuş; Zonaro’nun, bir tablosunda da Fransız bir ressamını kopyaladığı anlaşılmış, böylece farklı Margarethe’lar ya da aynı resimlerin farklı versiyonları olabileceğine dair varsayımlar ortaya sunulmuştur. Bu bağlamda, yeni bakış açılarıyla farklı araştırmalara zemin hazırlanmaya çalışılmıştır. | tr_TR |
| dc.description.sponsorship | What has been written so far about Margarethe Morgan, which inspired various paintings, especially the Woman Playing the Saz, by Italian orientalist painter Fausto Zonaro (1854-1929), who served as the court painter of Sultan Abdulhamid II for nearly twenty years, is limited as well as repetitive. Margarethe, who was at the forefront forefront of her relationship with Fehim Pasha, one of the well-known spies of the period of Abdulhamid II, inspired literary works and music as well as painting. It also took place in the foreign press news and articles of the period, but it has been seen that these have not been mentioned in Turkish sources until now. Here, some dating and information have been clarified by making use of them; some contradictions have been revealed. For this, many written and visual materials have been compared and progressed. As a result, in the context of these, the dating of Fausto Zonaro's painting has also changed, and the collectors have commented on a photograph published for the first time; it was understood that Zonaro had copied a painting from a French painter, and questions were raised about whether there could be different Margarethes or different versions of the same paintings. In this context, it has been tried to prepare the ground for new research. | en_US |
