Abstract
Halide Edib, üniversitede hocalık yapmış bir eğitimci olarak eserlerinde üniversiteden bahsetmiş, üniversitede okuyan ve burada çalışan kahramanlara yer vermiştir. Müstakil yazılarında da üniversite konusunu çeşitli cepheleriyle ele almış olan yazar, bu konuda sık sık yabancı bilim adamlarının görüşlerinden yararlanmıştır. Üniversitelerin özgür olması, üniversitelerin geri kalma sebepleri, üniversitelere öğrenci alımı ve üniversite hocalarının sorunları Halide Edib’in en çok üzerinde durduğu konulardır. Bu çalışmada, yazarın bahsedilen konulara yaklaşımı incelenecektir.
Halide Edib, who worked as a lecturer in a university, in her studies she mentioned about the people who study and work in a university. The author who takes the university issue from various aspects, often makes benefit from the foreign scientists views. The subjects that she mostly focused on are; the freedom of the universities, the reason why universities are undeveloped, accepting the students to universities and the problems of the university lecturers. In this study, the author’s approach to the mentioned topics will be analyzed.
