Abstract

We read the article entitled “Diced Cartilage Grafts in Rhinoplasty Surgery” by Daniel and Calvert (Plast. Reconstr. Surg. 113: 2156, 2004) with great interest. They used diced cartilage grafts wrapped in Surgicel (Turkish Delight grafts)1 for augmentation in rhinoplasty surgery and observed that Turkish Delight grafts lost their volume due to resorption during the follow-up period, so that re-operation became necessary. They obtained better augmentation when they used pure diced cartilage grafts or diced cartilage grafts wrapped in autogenous fascia.
