Sanat eğitiminde algı çeşitliliğinin gestalt ilkeleri ile uygulanması

Abstract

İnsanın, içinde bulunduğu ortamda varlığını devam ettirebilmek için duyumlara gereksinimi vardır. Sanatsal ifade ve anlamayı gerçekleştirebilmek için de herkesin duyumsadıklarından farklı şeyler yapması gerekir. İçinde bulunulan ortamdan, kişilerden, nesnelerden, simgelerden gelen uyarıların tanınması ve hatırlanması önemlidir. Görsel bilginin algılar aracılığı ile oluşması kişilere ve kişisel deneyimlere göre değişmektedir. Plastik sanatlar alanında eğitim alan öğrencilerin öncelikli olarak görsel algılarını kullandıkları, ancak tek yönlü bir algı birikiminin yaratıcılıklarını geliştirmek için yeterli olmadığı gözlenmiştir. Eğitim süreci boyunca müfredatın, birbirinden farklı dersler yardımı ile “Görsel Algı” yı desteklediği görülür. Motor becerileri ve belleğin geliştirilmesinde; el-göz-beyin koordinasyonunun doğru şekilde yönlendirilmesi önemlidir. Günümüz sanat anlayışı içerisinde oluşturulan yeni medya ortamları nedeni ile algı çeşitliliğinin zenginleştirilmesi öne çıkan bir unsur haline gelmiştir. VR gözlüklerle gerçekleştirilen “Yeni Medya Sanatı” performansları sadece duyusal algıların değil, zihinsel ve sezgisel algılarında güçlendirilmesi gerektiğini göstermiştir. Bir nesneye belli bir süre bakıp daha sonra akılda kalanı çizmeye çalışmak görme biçimi olarak zamanla içinde bulunulan çevreye daha dikkatli bakmayı sağlamaktadır. Özellikle boyutları doğru şekilde fark edebilmek için tek taraflı algı yeterli olmamakta, bütünsel algı sürecinin sağlanabilmesi için Gestalt İlkeleri’nden faydalanmak ve gözde oluşan yanılsamayı dokunsal algıyı devreye sokarak nitel biçimlere dönüştürmek gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmanın önemi; sanat ve tasarım alanında eğitim alan öğrencilerin birden fazla algıyı birlikte kullanarak oluşturdukları çalışmaları daha gerçekçi ve yaratıcı şekilde ifade edebilmelerini sağlamaktır. Yaratıcılığın desteklenmesinde önemli bir yere sahip olan algı farklılıklarının geliştirilmesi, öğrencilerle yapılan çeşitli egzersizlerle mümkün olmaktadır. Amaç, bu tür çalışmaları ve sonuçlarını alanın uzmanlarıyla paylaşmaktır.

Man needs sensations in order to survive in the environment he is in. In order to realize artistic expression and understanding, everyone needs to do different things from what they feel. It is important to recognize and remember the warnings coming from the environment, people, objects and symbols. The formation of visual information through perceptions varies according to individuals and personal experiences. It has been observed that students studying in the field of plastic arts primarily use their visual perceptions, but a one-way perception accumulation is not enough to develop their creativity. During the education process, it is seen that the curriculum supports “Visual Perception” with the help of different courses. In the development of motor skills and memory; It is important to direct hand-eye-brain coordination correctly. Enrichment of the diversity of perception has become a prominent element due to the new media environments created within today's understanding of art. “New Media Art” performances with VR glasses have shown that not only sensory perceptions, but also mental and intuitive perceptions should be strengthened. Looking at an object for a certain period of time and then trying to draw what remains in mind allows to look more carefully at the environment in time as a way of seeing. In particular, one-sided perception is not sufficient to recognize the dimensions correctly, and it is necessary to benefit from the Gestalt Principles in order to provide a holistic perception process and to transform the illusion formed in the eye into qualitative forms by activating tactile perception. The importance of this study; The aim is to enable students studying in the field of art and design to express their works more realistically and creatively by using more than one perception together. The development of perception differences, which has an important place in supporting creativity, is possible with various exercises with students. The aim is to share such studies and their results with experts in the field.
