Abstract
This study has been made with a view to researching the efficiency among the sports centres that belong to Youth & Sports Directorate of Province Bursa. After having been searched thoroughly and compiled from the Trainer Follow-up Forms and Weekly Activity Programmes of Bursa Y&SD, the data aimed at the said purpose have been assessed statistically in the SPSS packet programme. According to this, Çekirge Sports Centre (ÇSS) has become the one which allowed the greatest number of athletes per sports space. It is followed by the Atatürk Sports Centre (ASS) and Mustafa Kemal Paşa Sports Center (MKPSS). It has been found out that Yenişehir Sports Centre (YSS) and İnegöl Sports Centre (İNSS) are the least utilized centres respectively. Among the centres, the most efficient ones are ÇSS, ASS and MKPSS, and the least efficient ones are YSS and Orhangazi Sports Centre (ORSS) respectively. Despite that YSS, İNSS and ORSS, as facilites, are develepod; it turned out that they are utilized far below their real capacity. In our study, Province Directorate's the highest-capacity centre both in terms of usage-hour and in terms of athlete numbers that gives service to, whereby the the most efficiently working one is ÇSS. ÇSS is follow'ed by ASS and MKPSS respectively. The centres in terms of the lowest efficiency are YSS, İNSS and ORSS. In terms of athlete numbers per service personnel (workforce efficiency), ASS and ÇSS have been the most efficiently working centres respectively; whereas YSS, İznik Sports Centre (İZSS) and Mahmut Atalay Sports Centre (MASS) have been the least efficient ones respectively. All these show that, in terms of both capacity and working hours and service rendered per personnel, ÇSS and ASS have been the most efficiently working sports centres of Province Directorate, while YSS has been the most inefficient one in terms of these features.
