Abstract
This study was carried out to determine the helminth and arthropods of naturally and entansive feeding lambs, and parasite burden difference between groups in Bandirma district on July 2005. For this purpose, two groups of 12 Kıvırcık breed lambs were examined for arthropods before slaughter, and examined for helminths after slaughter in laboratory, when they were 6 months old. One lamb had Cystocaulus ocreatus (%8.3) in its lungs, 6 lambs had Nematodirus abnormalis (%50.0), 2 lambs had N. fillicolis, (%16.6), one lamb had Strongyloides papillosus (%8.3), 5 lambs had Moniezia expansa (%41.6) and 4 lambs had Avitellina centripunctata (%33.3) in their small intestines; all 12 had Ostertagia circumcincta (%100.0), 6 lambs had O. trifurcata (%50.0) and 6 lambs had Haemonchus contortus (%41.6) in their abomasum; 6 lambs had Trichuris ovis (%50.0) and 6 lambs had T. discolor (%50.0) in their large intestines in the naturally feeding group. 4 lambs had Rhipicephalus turanicus (%33.3) ectoparasite and 10 of the lambs have mix infection in this group. 4 lambs of 12 had Trichuris ovis (%33.3) in their large intestine and no endo or ecto parasites in others, in the entansive feeding group
