Abstract
Yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretimi, özellikle Türkiye’de artan göçmen nüfusu ile birlikte çok daha yaygın bir hal almış olup bu durum konuya ilişkin çalışmaların artmasına da katkı sağlamıştır. Bu çalışma kapsamında yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretimine farklı bir açıdan yaklaşılmış ve öğretim sürecinde kullanılan materyallerin Türk kültürünü tanıma üzerine katkıları incelenmiştir. Suriye kökenli öğrenciler özelinde çalışma spesifikleştirilerek daha yoğun bir açıdan ele alınmıştır. Bu doğrultuda yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretiminin yöntemlerine, ölçme ve değerlendirme süreçlerine ve karşılaşılan sorunlara yer verilmiştir. Ayrıca yabancı dil öğretiminde kültürün rolüne, Avrupa Ortak Başvuru Metninin konuya ilişkin değerlendirmesi ve yabancı dil öğretiminde kullanılan materyallere yer verilerek çalışmanın teorik kısmı tamamlanmıştır. Yapılan saha çalışması neticesinde elde edilen veriler analiz edilip yorumlanarak teorik olarak ele alınan konunun uygulamadaki karşılığına dair de tespitlerde bulunularak çalışma tamamlanmıştır.
Teaching Turkish as a foreign language has become much more common, especially with the increasing immigrant population in Turkey, and this has contributed to the increase in studies on the subject. Within the scope of this study, teaching Turkish as a foreign language was approached from a different perspective and the contributions of the materials used in the teaching process on recognizing Turkish culture were examined. The study was focused on students of Syrian origin, and it was discussed from a more intense perspective. In this direction, the methods of teaching Turkish as a foreign language, the measurement and evaluation processes and the problems encountered are included. In addition, the theoretical part of the study was completed by giving place to the role of culture in foreign language teaching, the evaluation of the Common European Framework for Languages on the subject and the materials used in foreign language teaching. The data obtained as a result of the field study was analyzed and interpreted, and the study was completed by making determinations about the practical equivalent of the theoretical issue.
