Sayı doğrusunun öğretiminde yeni bir yaklaşım

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın konusu matematik derslerinde sayı doğrusunun nasıl öğretileceğidir. Sayı doğrusunun ilkokul matematik programlarında yer almasının iki temel nedeni vardır. Bunlardan biri sayı doğrusunu bir boyutlu uzay olarak ele almakla ilgili temel bilgileri kavratmak, ikincisi doğal sayıları ve kesirleri tanıma ve işlem öğretiminde sayı doğrusundan yararlanmaktır. Bu anlamda sayı doğrusu kullanışlı bir araçtır. Bu çalışma kapsamında önce mevcut program ve okullarda sayı doğrusunun öğretimi incelenmiş, yukarıda belirtilen amaçlara ulaşabileceği umulan bir öğretim önerisi verilmiştirThe subject of this paper is how to teach the number line in math courses. There are two basic reasons why the number line takes place in primary school math curriculum. One is to transfer to the student the concept of the number line being a one-dimensional space. The other reason is to benefit from the number line in teaching natural numbers, fractional numbers. and operations using them. In this regard, the number line is a useful tool. This paper reviews the use of number lines in current programs and schools. Then, it proposes an instruction method targeting the above benefits..
