Yeni doğmuş bir buzağıda spina bifida ve myelocele olgusu

Abstract

Uludağ Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Kliniklerine getirilen yeni doğ muş bir buzağıda, Spina bifida ve Myelocele olgusu saptanılmıştır. Myelocele'in lokal belirtisi olarak uzunlamasına çapı 10cm., enlemesine çapı 7.5 cm ve yüksek liği 5 cm. olan eliptik, fluktuasyonlu bir şişkinlik saptandı. Bu şişkinliğin tabanın da, 3 üncü lumbal omur hizasında ve omurun dorsal yüzü üzerinde 4 cm. uzunluğunda bir aralık bulundu. Hayvanda ayrıca parapleji vardı. Spina bifida ue Myelocele olgularının danalarda az görülmesi ve enteresan olması nedeniyle bu olgu yayınlanmıştır.

Cases of Spina bifida and MYELOCELE have been observed in a new born calf. Local clinical sign of the myelocele was fluctuated swelling on the area of the 3th lumbal vertebra. The swelling was just like elliptical and dimensions ( long diame ter 10 cm. , width diameter 7.5 cm. and height 5 cm.) of this swelling have been measured. In the same time, a space which was 4 cm. long, have been palpated be neath of this swelling on the darsal vertebral are at the level of the 3 th lumbal ver tebra. Paraplegia was also established on the affected calf. The cases of spina bifida and Myelocele is very seldom and interesting on the calves. For this reason, this case have been reported.
