Abstract
Bu araştırma, 1979-1980 yıllarında A. Ü.
This research work was conducted at the university of Ankara, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Agronomy in 1979-1980.The main goal of this research was to study the effects of seeding rate on the seed and protein yield and the protein concent and to find out the most efficient seeding rates. The results of the experiment which was conducted with four seeding rates (300, 400, 500 and 600 seeds per square meters) and two barley varieties can be summarised as follows: 1. There were significant differences between seed yield, varieties and seeding rates and the variety x seeding rate interaction was also significant. 2. The differences between the protein cantent in seed and varieties was significant, while the differences between seeding rates and variety x seeding rate interaction were not significant. 3. It was indicated that the differences between protein yield, varieties and seeding rates and the interaction between variety and seeding rates were significant. 4. By evaluation of the results of Duncan test , it was found that seed and protein yield were effected by seeding rate; with the increase of seeding rate to a certain extend both seed and protein yields were also increased; the protein content in the seed was not effected considerably by the seeding rate; under the conditions of this experiment the most efficient seeding rate was 500-600 seed/m2.
