Emîn er-Reyhânî’nin yazılarında tabiat teması

Abstract

Gurbet psikolojisinin de etkisiyle, tabiata ve tabiata ait unsurlara karşı hissedilen derin sevgi 19. yüzyıl sonu ve 20. yüzyıl başlarında Arap dünyasından Amerika’ya göç eden edip ve şairlerin hemen tamamının ortak özelliğini teşkil etmektedir. Ancak bu sevgi, hiçbir mehcer edibinde Reyhânî’de görüldüğü kadar güçlü ve derin olmamıştır. Çoğu mehcer edibi için doğuya özgü tabiat unsurlarına yönelme sadece bir nostaljiden ibaretken, ‘tabiat merkezli tefekkür’ Reyhânî için hemen her etkinlikten ve meseleden öncelikli bir yere sahip olmuş, hayat tarzından üslubuna kadar onun kişiliğini çepeçevre kuşatmıştır.

Deep love towards nature and nature-related topics constitutes the common trait of nearly all mahjar writers and poets who immigrated from Arab East to America at the turn of the twentieth century. However, this love has never been strong and deep as in Ameen Rihani; because, for the most of mahjar writers, the nature was an image of nostalgia, whereas for Rihani, the thinking or meditation centered-on-nature was the most significant theme among the other issues. Rihani’s personality was totally covered with this love and affection, beginning from his way of life to his writing style.
