Abstract

Height and body weight measurements were taken as antopometric measurements in women. SPSS program was used to evaluate the data. Tables showing the absolute and % values of the questions were prepared and the necessary arithmetic mean values were taken. It was found that 70 % of women were housewives, 35 % were secondary school graduates, their first marriage age was 22,82±3,86 and their first gestational age was 24,08±4,45. In addition, BMI befor epregnancy was 25,23 ± 4,43, BMI during pregnancy was 28,7±4,46, and when skip meals were examined, it was determined that 76 % skipped meals and the most common meal skipped was lunch with 16 %. In this study, it was observed that the nutritional knowledge level during pregnancy is not sufficient. Pregnant women should be followed upand informed regularly by informed dieticians and health care personel about pregnancy nutrition.
