Sosyal bilgiler ders kitapları “kültür ve miras” öğrenme alanında yer alan değerlerin incelenmesi

Abstract

Değer, bir yaşam tarzıdır. Okulda değerlerin kazandırılmasında öğretmen ve okul paydaşları olduğu kadar ders kitapları da etkili birer araçtır. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın temel amacı, sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarında (SBDK) kültür ve miras öğrenme alanında kazandırılması hedeflenen değerlerin incelenmesi ve değerlerle içeriğin uyumunun belirlenmesidir. Çalışma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi yöntemine göre gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamına dahil edilen kitaplar, sosyal bilgiler (4-7. sınıf) ders kitaplarıdır. Araştırmada toplanan dokümanlar, içerik analiz tekniğiyle çözümlenmiştir. Analiz sürecinde değer ve konu içeriğinin uyumu test edilmiştir. Araştırmanın geçerlik ve güvenirliğini sağlamak için analiz süreci iki alan uzmanı tarafından eş güdümlü yapılmıştır. Bu araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre 4. sınıfta aile birliğine önem verme, vatanseverlik ve duyarlılık değerine; 5. sınıf SBDK’da duyarlılık ve estetik değerine; 6. sınıf SBDK’da duyarlılık değerine; 7. sınıf SBDK’da ise duyarlılık ve estetik değerine yer verildiği saptanmıştır. Kültür ve miras öğrenme alanında yer alan değerlerin en fazla 4. sınıf düzeyinde kazandırılmaya çalışıldığı söylenebilir. Ayrıca genel itibariyle kültür ve miras öğrenme alanı konularının değerlerle uyumlu olduğu görülmektedir

Value is a lifestyle. Textbooks are effective tools as well as teachers and school stakeholders in the acquisition of values at school. In this context, the main purpose of the research is to examine the values aimed to be gained in the field of culture and heritage learning in social studies textbooks (SBDK) and to determine the compatibility of values and content. The study was carried out according to the document analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods. The books included in the research are social studies (4-7th grade) textbooks. The documents collected in the research were analyzed with the content analysis technique. In the analysis process, the harmony of value, subject and concept relationship was tested. In order to ensure the validity and reliability of the research, the analysis process was coordinated by two field experts. According to the results of this research, giving importance to family unity, patriotism, and sensitivity values in the 4th grade; Sensitivity and aesthetic value in 5th grade SBDK; Sensitivity value in 6th grade SBDK; It was determined that sensitivity and aesthetic values were included in the 7th grade SBDK. It can be said that the gaining values in the field of culture and heritage learning are emphasized mostly at the 4th grade level. In addition, in general, it is seen that the subjects of culture and heritage learning area are compatible with values.
