Yazın dizgesindeki normların yazın çevirisine etkisi ve Cervantes'in Don Quijote romanının Türk yazın dizgesine girişinin betimlenmesi

Abstract

The influence of the Norms in the Literary System on Literary Translation and the Description of the Entrance of the Novel Don Quijote by Cervates into the Turkish Literary System. The purpose of this study is the investigation of the reciprocal relationship between the literary translation and the constraints and noms working on the literary system. In view of the fact that only a wide perspective which includes the historical facts about translation can provide the investigator with a basis on which to develop first the application of translation studies and then the educalian of translation, this open-ended, dynamic, historical, polysystemic approach developed by Gideon Toury has been adopted. In this brief study the corpus is restriçted to the first three translations of the novel Don Quijote dated, respectively, 1868, 1328 (1912) and 1931, the first translated into attaman using the armenian alphabet as the orthografical code, the second translated into attaman using the arabic alphabet and the last into turkish using the Turkish-latin alphabet. Due to the brevity of the study, only the "preliminary norms" are taken into consideration. Thus,the final aim of the investigation is to reach a conclusion as to the "initial nomıs" of tlıe translator, wlıich would reflect the background, the changes that the whole polysystem undergoes during the considered period of approximately 65 years.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, yazın çevirisinin yazın dengesini etkileyen kısıtlamalarla karşılıklı ilişkisinin irdelenmesi ve bu amaçla Cervantes'in Don Quijote romanının Türkçeye çevirilerinin betimlenmesi olacaktır. Böyle bir çalışma yapılmasının başlıca nedeni ve yararı şöyle açıklanabilir: Işın Bengi'nin çeviri eğitimi konusunda yaptığı bir çalışmada belirttiği gibi: Çeviriye ilişkin gerçekler çeviri tarihi içinde gizlidir. Çeviri tarihi çevirinin dününü içine aldığı gibi çevirinin bugününü de içine alır. Çevirinin ne olduğunu gerçekçi ve kapsayıcı bir biçimde anlayabilmek, çevirinin üretiminde etkili olan kısıtlamaları belirleyebilmek için çeviri bütünceleri üzerinde betimleyici çalışmalar yapılması gerekmektedir. Bu gibi çalışmalarda elde edilecek bulgular bilim dalına kuramsal düzeyde zengin ve gerçekçi bir veri tabanı sağlayacaktır. Böyle kapsayıcı olmayı amaçlayan açık uçlu bir kuram da çevirinin uygulama alanına, örneğin çeviri eğitimine, ışık tutacaktır. (Bengi 1992: 51).
