Abstract
This experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of different nitrogen fertilizers on the yield of winter wheat cv. Vratsa grown at tlıe Experimental Farm of Agriculturel Faculty of Uludağ University in Görükle-Bursa. The field experiment was established in randomized block design with four replications. At sowing, 4 kg/da nitrogen was applied as diammonium phosphate (18 % N, 46 % P2O5)· As a spring fertilizer, three nitrogen fertilizers ( ammonium sulphate, 21 % N; ammonium nitrate, 26 % N; and urea, 46 % N) were applied at three levels (9, 12 and 15 kg N/da) to the plots at tillering stage. It was found that there were no statistically significant differences in wheat yield between the nitrogen fertilizers applied. However, when current fertilizer prices were taken into account, urea seemed to be more economic.
