This paper investigates the problems of poetry translation. The main problem in poetry translation is the transfer of emotions. In poetry, emotions are conveyed through both style and content. Therefore, the syntactic, semantic and prosodic aspects of the poem nead to be considered as awhole. In the translation then, the function as well as the poetical meaning of the words should be emphasized. Hannony, rhythm, alliteration, rhyming, ete. are olso crucial aspects in poetry translation.
