During the research it wasn't seen any negative sign besides foot disease in one bull. In the different fina/ weights of the first . Second and third groups, it was found that during the fattening the average daily live weight gain were 1.42 ,1.30 and 1.33 kg, thefeed efficiency were 7.85 ,8.55 and 8.59 kg/kg gain and cold dressing percentage was 54.86%, 56. 17% and 55.56%, respectively. The slaughtering and carcass characteristics increased while the fina i weights did. lt was concluded that the optimum weight at final would be 600650 kg. When the research has been completely considered, it has been seen that German Red Pied breed can be successfully used as beef ca tt/e in Turkey.Item Sulphate - reducing bacteria in canine faeces(Uludağ Üniversitesi, 1997) Çarlı, K. Tayfun; Uludağ Üniversitesi/Veteriner Fakültesi/Mikrobiyoloji Anabilim Dalı.Ten (33.3 %) sulphate-reducing bacteria (SRB) were isolated from 30 canine faeces. Of 10 isolates examined, all were assigned to the genus Desulf ovibrio. The number of Desulfovibrio sp. in canine faeces ranged from 1 X 103 to 6x 1010 bacteria g1 Postgate 's Medium E seemed to be more efficient than Postgate's Medium B and ATCC Culture Medium 1249 for isolation from canine faeces.
