Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı Frankfurt Okulu’nun Max Horkheimer’dan Jürgen Habermas’a dek dine bakışını ortaya koymaktır. Birinci bölümde Frankfurt Okulu’nun ilk kuşağı incelenmiştir. Bu bölümde Frankfurt Okulu’nu ortaya çıkaran tarihi ve düşünsel arka plan ele alındıktan sonra temel ilgi alanları ortaya konulmuştur. İkinci bölümde Habermas’ın din ve toplum üzerine görüşleri incelenmiştir. Burada öncelikle modernite savunusu ve İletişimsel Eylem Kuramı ele alınmıştır. Akabinde Frankfurt Okulu’ndan Habermas’a dinin konumu ve Habermas’ın dine dair düşünceleri incelenmiştir.
The aim of this study is to indicate their point of views of the Frankfurt School's aspects of religion from Max Horkheimer to Jürgen Habermas. In the first chapter, the first generation of the Frankfurt School is analyzed. In this section, the Frankfurt School's main areas of interest are examined after the historical and intellectual background of the Frankfurt School have been discussed. In the second chapter, Habermas's views on religion and society are handled. Here, firstly, the defense of modernity and the theory of communicative action are discussed. Then the position of the religion from the Frankfurt School to Habermas and Habermas' thoughts on religion are investigated.
