Sosyal bir fenomen olarak dilin belirsizliği

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın ele aldığı problem, metnin başlığında ifadesini bulan sosyal bir fenomen olarak dilin belirsizliğidir. Bir soru olarak formüle edildiğinde, dilin belirsizliği hangi anlamda sosyal bir fenomendir. Bir önerme olarak ifade edildiğinde, dilin belirsizliği sosyal bir fenomense, bu belirsizliğin kendisinin sosyal bir fenomen olduğu anlamına gelmez mi? Elinizdeki çalışma, nihayetinde bu sorulara bir cevap arama teşebbüsüdür ve sosyal bir fenomen olarak dilin belirsizliği tartışmasını üç aşamada ele almaktadır: (1) hurafe olarak dil; (2) oyun olarak dil; (3) figüratif bir fenomen olarak dil. Elinizdeki çalışmada yenilik sayılabilecek unsur linguistik veya dile ilişkin felsefî yaklaşımlardan farklı olarak, dilin belirsizliğinin sosyal veya sosyolojik bir fenomen olduğu tezine yaptığı vurgudur.

The problem that is under debate in this study is the ambiguity of the language as a social phenomenon, which is expressed at the title of the thesis. The meaning of the ambiguity of language as a social phenomena will be problematic, when it is formulated as a question. If the ambiguity of the language is a social phenomenon, then does this mean that the ambiguity itself is a social phenomenon? The current study is an attempt to find an answer for these questions, and scrutinizes the ambiguity of the language at three level: (a) language as a superstition, (b) language as a “game”, (c) language as a figurative phenomenon. The side that may be seen novel part of the current study is, apart from the linguistics and the philosophical views about language, the emphasis that is made upon the proposition concerning the ambiguity of the language is “social” or “sociological” phenomenon.
