Abstract
Fish meal is the most important animal protein source of the salmonicl diets. However, it has not been possible to use suffeciently in fish diets because of the high price and non existance of fish meal everytime al demanded amounts. Meanvıhile its quality is not regular as a result of fish meal production via many species due to a lot of processing methods, and storing difficulties. Therefore in this research, the effects of using fullfat soybean meal which is cheaper than the fish meal Instead of a part of the fish meal on the live weight gain, feed consıımption, feed conversion rate and cost price of the fish, was investigated. In the present study, 600 rainbow trout (Oncorynchus mykiss) youngs weighing 50.13 - 50.83 gain average was used as animal material and it continued for 10 weeks with 5 groups by including a control group. The trial diets included 15, 25, 35 and 45 % fullfat soybean meal respectively, but 0 % fullfat soybean meal in control group diet. ît was observed that the highest live weight gain was in the fırst group and the differences between the İsı and control groups, and the other groups was statistically significant (P < 0.01). Feed conversion differences between the 4th group and other groups was found as statistically significant (P < 0.01), however this experimental group was determined as the group which has the lowest feed conversion rate. İt was observed that the lowest live weight gain cost vvas in the İst and 2nd groups. Cost of/live weight was reduced in accordance with increasing fullfat soybean meal level of rations however, growth rate of fish was decreased.
