Bursa ilinde mısır üreticilerinin tohum tercihlerini etkileyen faktörler

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Bursa ilinde mısır üreticilerinin kullandıkları tohum tercihini etkileyen faktörlerin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın ana materyalini Bursa ilinde oransal örnekleme yöntemine göre belirlenmiş mısır üreten 120 üreticiden anket çalışması ile toplanan veriler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, üreticilerin ortalama yaşının 48,3, ortalama tecrübelerinin 30,6 yıl olduğu, aile birey sayısı ortalama 4,4 kişi olduğu belirlenmiştir. Ortalama işletme arazisi büyüklüğü 175 da ve ortalama parsel sayısı 7,64'tür. Dane mısır üretiminde ortalama verimin 1.480 kg/da, ortalama maliyetin ise 3,39 TL/kg olduğu belirlenmiştir. Üreticilerin mısır üretimi yapma nedeni karlılığın yüksek olması, üretimdeki en önemli sorun ise girdi fiyatlarının yüksekliği olarak belirlenmiştir. Üreticilerin tamamı sertifikalı tohum kullanmaktadır. Üreticilerin tohum tercihinde vadeli satış imkânının olması, yüksek verimli olması, sapının dayanıklı ve yatma olmaması, tohumun temiz ve ilaçlı olması, ambalajında çimlenme oranının yazması, tohumluk garantisi verilmesi, tohumların zamanında teslimi, ödeme konusunda kolaylık sağlanması ile fuar, seminer ve gezi düzenlenmesi faktörleri "çok önemli" faktörler olarak belirlenmiştir.This study aimed to reveal the factors affecting the seed preference of corn producers in Bursa province. The main material of the study consisted of data collected by questionnaire from 120 maize producers determined according to the proportional sampling method in Bursa province. According to the results of the research, the average age of the farmers was 48,3 years, the average experience was 30,6 years, the average number of family members was 4,4, the average farm land size was 175 da and the average number of parcels was 7,64. The average grain yield of the corn in the region was found to be 1.480 kg/decare and the cost of corn grain was calculated at 3,39 TL/kg. The reason for the producers to produce maize was determined as high profitability, and the most important problem in production was determined as high input prices. All of the producers participating in the research use certified seed. In the seed preference of the producers, the factors such as the possibility of forward sales, high yield, lying down resistant, high yield, clean and sprayed seed, germination rate written on the packaging, provided seed guarantee, timely delivery of seeds, ease of payment and organizing fairs, seminars and trips by seed producer firms were determined as "very important" factors.
