    The efficiency of the song repertoire on the musical development level of pre-school children aged six years old

    It is considered that music which is based on creativity and is an art of sound can be used in various ways as a teaching method in preschool. However, it is observed that efficient use is not made of teaching methods including mainly voice training and instrument training, and that an appropriate repertoire is not formed. Therefore, forming a nursery rhymes repertoire for preschool children, which is appropriate for the necessities of the Early Childhood Education Program. Also, the aim of this research is to help music teachers at pre-school level carry out more efficient and productive work. Towards this aim, a song repertoire has been formed by the researcher, experimental and control groups have been specified and work has been done with the experimental group for 12 weeks. A pre test and a final test has been applied to the experimental and control groups before and after practice with the use of a "musical skills measuring device" prepared by the researcher. It has been benefited from the SPSS 13.0 packet program for the statistical solutions of the data gathered as part of the main aim of the research and main problem. According to the data gained from the research results, it has been observed that the activities performed in music education with the song repertoire prepared and applied by the researcher have created a positive effect on the musical development of 6 year old children.

    Güzel sanatlar liselerinde koro eğitimi vermekte olan koro eğitimcilerinin alan yeterliklerine ilişkin bir değerlendirme

    Bu araştırmada güzel sanatlar liselerinde görev alan koro öğretmenlerinin alan yeterliklerinin ne düzeyde olduğunun tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması; örneklem grubunun belirlenmesinde ise amaçlı örneklem türlerinden maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu Türkiye’nin farklı bölgelerinde yer alan güzel sanatlar liselerinde görev yapan 11 koro eğitimcisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile toplanmıştır. Örneklem grubuna açık uçlu 8 sorudan oluşan görüşme formu ve 5 soruluk demografik bilgi formu uygulanmıştır. Görüşmeler sonucunda elde edilen verilerin analizinde içerik analizi tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Bu çalışmadan elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda bazı katılımcıların kendilerini piyano hâkimiyeti, koro disiplini, koro-şef uyumu ve nefes-ses çalışmaları konusunda yeterli; bazı katılımcıların ise koro dersi hâkimiyetinde kısmen yeterli gördükleri belirlenmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda katılımcıların koro dağarlarını yeterli buldukları, öğretmenler arası dağar paylaşımının ve sosyal ağların da söz konusu bu dağara katkı sağladığı belirlenmiştir. Koro öğretmenlerinin çoğunun kendilerini piyanoyu eşlik amacıyla kullanabilme becerisi, sahne hâkimiyeti, mesleki eğitimlere katılım ve eser hâkimiyeti açısından yetersiz; süreç yönetimi becerisi ve liderlik vasfı açısından ise yeterli buldukları tespit edilmiştir.

    Context of educational music and language in republican period Turkey

    One of the main characteristics of humans is their artistic aspect. Language is the building stone of all arts based on word. From the time when humans came into existence until today language and music, which are in relationship with one another, have been continuing their development together with this evolution process. The language of every nation makes great contributions to the formation and development of its own musical ecole; it also has important effects on the development of educational music. In the present study, the main characteristics of Turkish language and the reflections language on educational music were dealt with; the language-music context in Turkish were examined through exemplifying the prosodic structure of the songs included in the music education programs within the historical process.

    The contribution of the activities prepared with web 2.0 technologies to the level of learning

    This research is aimed to evaluate the contribution of activities prepared with Web 2.0 technologies for the sound formation unit within the scope of a music lesson to the learning levels of students. The study group consists of 220 students in the 9th grade of Trabzon Affan Kitapcioglu Anatolian High School. A 9-question knowledge test was applied as a measurement tool to make determinations regarding the realization of the achievements in the unit of "formation of sound". In the study, interviews were conducted with a randomly selected group of 8 students from the study group. The content analysis technique was used to analyze the data obtained as a result of the interviews. In line with the findings obtained from this study, it was determined that the activities prepared with Web 2.0 technologies contributed to the students' self-knowledge, self-confidence, protection of voice, voice change, and field expert knowledge, which also provided ease of learning theoretical knowledge.
